Collection and Revenue Reporting

The Collection and Revenue Reporting Unit is saddled with the responsibilities of:

  • Tracking the collection of internally generated revenue and state taxes.
  • Reconciling and accounting for internally generated revenue.
Mr. Audy Moningha Anthony is the Exective Director, Collections and Revenue Reporting Unit.

Compliance and Enforcement

The Compliance Department:

  • Ensures compliance to State tax and revenue laws.
  • Investigates and audit taxpayers as required.
  • Provides legal support to tax compliance and enforcement initiatives.
Mr. James Agari is the Exective Director, Compliance and Enforcement.

The Assessment unit is in charge of:

  • Coordinating the assessment of all types of taxes payable to the State.
  • Directly overseeing the operations of Area Tax Offices.
Mr. Freeman Isowo is the Exective Director, Assessment.

Finance and Administration

The Finance and Administration Department has the responsiblity of:

  • Maintaining the books of accounts book of the service.
  • Coordinating overhead expenditure for service.
  • Administering and managing Personnel matters - appointments, promotions, welfare, trainings, etc.
  • Overseeing procurement, supplies and store management.
  • Acting as secretariat for the Tender Board.
The Permanent Secretary, Engr. B. K. Yeri oversees this department.

  • Preparing and controlling budget for the Internal Revenue Service.
  • Formulating and implementing State tax policies.
  • Recommending and coordinating tax reform initiatives.
  • Collating and maintaining statistical data on tax and internally generated revenue for the State.
  • Providing IT support to the Service.
